A School Born From a Vision & a Prayer
International Community Montessori School (ICMS) was founded with a singular, God-inspired vision — to provide children in Takoradi and the Western Region of Ghana with an internationally recognised education rooted in the timeless Montessori philosophy and grounded in Christian faith.
From humble beginnings, ICMS has grown into a thriving institution with 2 specialised campuses, serving over 500 students from diverse backgrounds across 4 distinct curriculum streams — North American Montessori, International Preschool Curriculum (IPC), Ghana Education Service (GES) and Pearson Edexcel.
We remain committed to our founding conviction — that every child is born a KIND-KID, uniquely gifted by God, and destined for greatness. Our role is simply to prepare the environment, inspire the curiosity, and nurture the potential already placed within them.
